Not sure what you should actually do?

There is more and more information

You scroll through the news in the evening and fall asleep more anxious than you were in the morning.

And still no plan

You know you “ought to prepare something”, but you don’t know where to start or how much it will cost.

You’re on your own with it

The people close to you either brush it off or panic. There’s nowhere to talk about it calmly.

What you get in the first edition

Step by step: from sorting out the information and making your own plan, through preparing together, to feeling calm in your body. One live session every week. By 4.12, before the holidays, you’ll have your own written plan, your supplies and peace of mind for the new year.

  1. Week 1

Information and your plan. How to filter information without a political agenda and build your own healthy news diet. Then you create your plan A, B and C: I’m staying, I’m leaving, I have to act right now. With children and pets taken into account.

  2. Weeks 2–3

Preparing together. We do it together, as a group, with checklists and concrete tasks to tick off.

    • Task checklists: documents, money, home, water, food, medicines, light and communication.
    • Ideas for small flats: where and how to store supplies when space is tight.
    • Keeping supplies up to date and tracking use-by dates so nothing goes to waste.
  3. Week 4

Skills for hard times and neighbourly solidarity. Practical survival basics: first aid, safe drinking water, cooking and keeping warm without electricity, finding your way without a phone. Plus building a neighbourhood support network, even if you don’t know anyone, or don’t like anyone.

  4. Week 5

Mental preparation and calm in your body. How you react to stress, how to make decisions under pressure, how to talk to your partner, family and children. Breathing, relaxation and grounding techniques that help you get back to acting when fear shows up.

Moderated group

A calm space with clear rules. No scaremongering and no politics.

Live sessions

5 online sessions, recorded for anyone who can’t make it.

Checklists and workbook

Home, documents, money, children, pets, evacuation.

A real say

You help shape the course. Your questions change the programme.

Whatever you decide

I’m staying

Prepare your home and family to get through hard times where you are.

I’m leaving

Make a plan for leaving: route, documents, money, the first 72 hours, your first steps abroad.

I don’t know yet

Work out your own criteria for deciding and prepare for both options.

Is this for you?

This is for you if

  • you feel you should be prepared but don’t know where to start,
  • you are responsible for children, loved ones or pets,
  • you want a concrete plan instead of constant worry.

This is not for you if

  • you’re looking for predictions about whether or when there will be a war,
  • you’re interested in weapons or military topics,
  • you want to debate politics,
  • thinking about a crisis triggers panic attacks for you. In that case it’s better to start by talking to a specialist.

About the project

Gotowa na kryzys brings together experts and activists around a shared cause: making women, and society as a whole, more resilient in times of crisis. We work calmly, practically and without scaremongering, because a prepared woman means a stronger family, neighbourhood and community.

Questions

Isn’t this just scaremongering about war?

No. We’re not saying there will be a war. We’re saying: we don’t know what will happen, but you can be prepared.

By preparing, am I tempting fate?

No. A fire extinguisher in the kitchen doesn’t start a fire, and a first aid kit doesn’t cause accidents. Preparing doesn’t make a crisis more likely. It means that if one comes, you know what to do and you’re less afraid. It works on a wider scale too: a country whose people are ready is a harder target, and calm, well-informed people are harder to frighten and manipulate.

Are you encouraging people to leave?

Neither to leave nor to stay. You’ll get to know your options and decide for yourself.

How much time will it take?

About 3 hours a week. Sessions are recorded.

Where does the Readiness Circle take place?

On Circle. Once you sign up, you’ll get an invitation by email.

Is this legal, medical or psychological advice?

No. It’s education and support with getting prepared. For individual matters, we refer you to specialists and official sources.

You can be afraid and still take action. Let’s start together.
