What our groups are for
This is a calm place for questions, support and practical information about preparing for emergencies. Local subgroups help women from the same area share information and support one another.
Our rules
- We don’t frighten each other. We don’t post graphic photos or videos, or alarmist messages. We write calmly and to the point.
- We cite sources. We share information about threats only from official or verified sources (e.g. the Government Centre for Security (RCB), gov.pl, the emergency services, local authorities). If you’re not sure about something, say so.
- We don’t discuss politics. We don’t judge parties, politicians or views. We focus on what we can do.
- We respect other people’s decisions. Each of us decides for herself whether to stay or leave. We don’t pressure or judge anyone.
- We look after privacy. We don’t share other people’s messages, photos or phone numbers outside the group. We don’t post exact addresses in the group, or information about where we keep supplies or money.
- No advertising or selling. We don’t post offers, affiliate links or fundraisers without a moderator’s permission.
- No advice that replaces professionals. We share our experience, but for health, legal and financial matters we refer people to specialists.
- If someone needs urgent help, we remind them of the 112 emergency number. If you see that someone is in a mental health crisis, message a moderator.
Local subgroups
- Each subgroup has at least one moderator who knows these rules.
- Subgroups may set additional rules, as long as they do not conflict with these rules.
- We hold in-person meetings in public places.
Moderation
Moderators may remove messages that break the rules, issue warnings and, in the case of repeated or serious breaches, remove a person from the group. We welcome feedback and reports at [EMAIL ADDRESS] or in a private message to a moderator.
Data and privacy
The groups run on the WhatsApp app. By joining, you share your phone number and profile name with the other members. Find out more in our Privacy policy.
